Principal Designer and Project Manager Amy Chavez leverages a powerful and unique blend of artistic vision and practical expertise to create exceptional spaces for her clients. Her insatiable curiosity about space and materials, sparked by childhood play with dollhouse furniture, textile samples, and found objects, ignited a lifelong passion for interior design. Her formal training as an artist, ceramicist, and integrative arts educator consistently informs her work, enabling her to approach design challenges with a fresh perspective and create spaces that are functional, visually stunning, and uniquely personal.
Special Skills
Amy's skillset extends beyond artistic vision, encompassing over 10 years of hands-on experience gained through trade apprenticeships in carpentry, plumbing, and electrical work. This practical knowledge allows for a deep understanding of complex problem-solving, construction techniques, and the project management crucial for successful project completion. These apprenticeships have also honed her ability to effectively communicate with contractors and tradespeople. She maintains close working relationships with trusted, skilled contractors who share a core 'bee-lief' in the synergy of collaboration.
